Goals & General Requirements
Funded by OKDHS Oklahoma Child Care Services, REWARD Oklahoma is designed to promote quality child care in Oklahoma. Providers who meet the eligibility requirements may receive salary supplements ranging from $400 to $2,000 per year.
REWARD Oklahoma is a collaborative effort committed to the following outcomes:
- Reduce turnover of primary caregiver teachers in child care.
- Reduce turnover of child care directors and assistant directors.
- Ensure continued and successful completion of formal education for child care professionals.
- Support wages of child care professionals who contribute to attaining outcomes 1, 2, and 3 (above).

General Requirements:

- Have a current OKDHS license
- Have Reaching for the Stars rating of One Plus or above
- Have a current OKDHS subsidy contract number
- Have at least 10% of the licensed capacity filled with children receiving subsidy
- Have a signed facility agreement on file

- Work in an OKDHS licensed early care and education facility
- Have a current Gold or Silver Oklahoma Director's Credential
- Earn $15.50 or less per hour
- Work a minimum of 30 hours per week in the facility
- Meet initial commitment period of 1 year and ongoing periods of 6 months in same facility

- Work in an OKDHS licensed early care and education facility
- Have a current Oklahoma Registry Professional Development Ladder certificate, Level 3 or above
- Earn $15.50 or less per hour
- Work a minimum of 30 hours per week in the classroom with children
- Meet initial commitment period of 1 year and ongoing periods of 6 months in same facility
