What to Expect During a Specialized Training
CECPD provides this checklist to identify the expectations related to Specialized Training seminars offered by Educators on the Oklahoma Training Approval System Educator Services. Please review this list so that you will know what to expect during this training.
Expectations of the Educator:
- Prepare information that is at least four hours in length and no longer than six hours in length unless approved in advance by CECPD
- Arrive and depart on time
- Provide an “ice breaker” activity
- Encourage participation in the training via large or small group activities
- Use an appropriate tone of voice, level of enthusiasm, and delivery method that supports quality adult education standards
- Objectively deliver the information and respond to participant’s questions and/or process their input to the group’s advantage
- If provided, handouts for participants will be clear, concise, and used as a resource and will reflect appropriate practices CECPD supports
- Be respectful and considerate to all participants
- Uphold the integrity of the training process as it relates to adult learners and positively represent both themselves and CECPD
Expectations of CECPD Staff:
- Be helpful and responsive to questions concerning the Educator’s visit
- Provide any written and/or verbal information to the Educator for distribution to training participants
- Promptly process payment of training services to the Educator once the service is completed
Expectations of the Participant:
- Relax and enjoy this free service
- Complete the provided evaluation form (forms provided if CECPD pays the educator) and return it to the class designate who will collect the forms for the Educator
