Category Description
Early Childhood Education/Child Development These courses have been approved for family child care home providers, teaching staff, and child care directors who work with children infancy through the preschool years.
Administrative/Management These courses have been approved for directors which provide job related administrative and management knowledge for these positions.

Purpose

The purpose of Recommended Approved Coursework List is to assist individuals in identifying coursework that is possibly accepted for participation in the following programs:

These courses may be updated annually and some courses may not be listed due to off campus special institutes or courses.  Please call the institution directly to find out if classes are offered at the higher education center in your community. In addition, approved coursework varies across programs. Please check specific programs for coursework requirements.

Adding a Course not Listed

Should a course not be listed and the individual would like to inquire if it meets requirements for one of the above mentioned programs, the individual can provide Center for Early Childhood Professional Development (CECPD) with written documentation to include a course syllabi and/or course description as provided by the higher education institution for review by staff members.
