CA1 Presenting A Personal Safety Curriculum - Committee for Children
The focus of this program is to promote the prevention of child sexual abuse among our children. An unstaged, unrehearsed documentary narrated by Christina Crawford. Interviews of men in prison, juveniles in detention facilities, and parents being questioned after reported abuse are discussed. Some solutions are looked at, such as parenting classes in high schools and employer-sponsored child care. This is an excellent film that covers many areas. (24 mins.)

This video addresses problems families face after sexual abuse is reported. Scenes are acted out of families trying to learn to communicate after the abuse has been acknowledged. (28 mins.)

CA20 Identifying, Reporting and Handling Disclosure of the Sexually Abused
"How do I know and who do I report it to if I do find out?" These are just a few of the questions caregivers may have when it comes to knowing whether or not a child has been abused. This film will discuss how to identify the sexually abused child, the legal responsibilities, how to interview the child, what to say to the child, and how to handle the ongoing responses with the child after the abuse has been identified.
